What We Are
Restorative Justice Youth Court in Bothell, WA
We are a community- based intervention and prevention program that provides an alternative response to the adult municipal court for first- time traffic infractions offenders 18 and under, in which community youth are empowered to determine the appropriate sanctions for their peers and to hold them accountable for their actions.

About Restorative Justice
Focuses on the rehabilitation of offenders through reconciliation with victims and the community at large
BYC uses restorative justice as a way to constructively adjudicate a case. In our cases, we form a restorative justice circle in order for everyone who is a part of the case to discuss what happened. We cover the harms that were caused and address the needs of the respondent, so that they can learn from their mistake and give back to their community.
